Introducing the Jewelry Line

Kismet Junk has one mission: to re purpose vintage and discarded items. We scour auctions, barns and estate sales to find hidden treasures. This has extended into a jewelry line. We reclaim and recreate earrings, bracelets and necklaces using vintage and estate jewelry. Each piece is one of a kind and hand made. They are perfect to wear everyday and are affordable on any budget! You will fall in love!

A jade colored bead necklace was found at an estate auction in Kankakee, IL. It was old and very out dated. The main beads were over sized, chunky and the overall 1970's piece was very unattractive. Even though this was a vintage necklace, no one would probably ever wear it again.

However, I saw the beauty.

The lightweight plastic beads are great shade of jade green, with a white veining that faintly strings throughout. We took apart the necklace and salvaged the smaller beads. We cleaned them, rewired the beads, and secured them to new, stainless steel ear hooks to form this adorable pair of earrings perfect to wear everyday as a splash of color.

Similar beads from the original vintage necklace have been used to create other earring, but we guarantee they will never be put together exactly as this pair. Each piece of jewelry created by Kismet Junk is one of a kind, just like you!
